With the item rework and shop UI change at the start of Season 10, mythic items and the addition and removal of certain items can be a challenge for new or returning players.  Item components are built into full items. For example, if you're playing an AD champion, a common item to purchase is a pickaxe for 875 gold, which gives +25 AD. The pickaxe can be built into several items, such as Ironspike Whip, Blade of the Ruined King, or Kraken Slayer. The shop has several interfaces that take some time to get used to. For players wishing to bind two keys to a certain hotkey in League of Legends, it is only possible to do so with the Shift, Ctrl, Alt + another key. This feature is commonly used for self-casting spells such as shields and heals, or quick/smart casting. Chromas are a recolored variant of a champion or specific skin which can only be activated if the respective champion and skin are obtained. The purpose of chromas is to give players more customization options to their favorite skins. For example, Mecha Aatrox comes in blue and orange by default, but I prefer the black and orange look in the obsidian chroma. Chromas, do not change VFX and the color of abilities. After patch 12.9 dropped in May 2022, the addition of challenges gives players a new way to personalize their profile or to show off their rare achievements. Challenges provide players with extra optional objectives to accomplish, such as not dying once in ARAM or healing/shielding another player.  Alongside the release of challenges, players can earn titles that can be displayed underneath their summoner name on their profile page and on the pre-game loading screen. Grinding an account to level 30 can be a tedious and boring task, at least until blind and draft picks are unlocked at levels 3 and 10, respectively. This guide aims to inform you about XP boosts and their 2 variants: Duration-based and Win-based XP boosts.
